Core (Adult) Mental Health First Aid 8-Hour Class

The Core (Adult) Mental Health First Aid® class builds skills to help adults age 18 and older assist those who may be experiencing an emerging mental health problem or crisis. The Core (Adult) program teaches the signs and symptoms a person may see when someone is experiencing a common mental health problem such as depression, anxiety, psychosis or a substance use disorder. Participants learn the five-step ALGEE® Action Plan to assist someone who is going through a mental health crisis. Hands on activities are used to aid the participant in understanding the disorders and how to help. The Core (Adult) program is available in both English and Spanish.
