Who should take the course?

The Mental Health First Aid® course is for everyone. Many people who work in occupations that have a high level of interaction with the public on a daily basis such as first responders, librarians and those who work in helping professions have found the course very helpful. As we build capacity in our communities with trained Mental Health First Aiders, it give us the opportunity to create more caring, compassionate communities in Maryland and throughout the nation.

How much does it cost?

The standard cost of the 8-­hour course in Maryland is $119 per person. Cost for courses may vary depending on the site where the course is offered. Upcoming course offerings can be found on our calendar.

The cost of the 5­-day instructor training is $1,500 per person. Upcoming instructor course offerings can be found on our calendar.

How long does each course take?

Both the Youth and Core courses are 8 hours in length. Instructor training is a 5­-day course.
