Mental Health First Aid® is an 8­-hour national certification course that teaches lay people how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an emerging mental health problem or crisis, identify community resources, and link individuals in need of treatment and support to the proper resources. Through this in-­person skills ­based course, you will learn a 5­ step action plan that can be used in various types of crisis and non-crisis situations

Evidence shows that Mental Health First Aid results in:
